You are Loved

Hi Crafting Friends,

I hope everyone is having a great week, I am choked with the cold and glad that it's Friday tomorrow :) Anyway today I would like to share my DT card for Whimsie Doodles.

This little darling is called Shy Cupid.  She is available as a single image or as part of a fabulous collection of 10 images. She is very cute and so fun to colour in.  For this valentine's card I decided to go traditional and use red. The fabulous papers are from Amy Tangerine.

 Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Shy Cupid
Spellbinders Classic Oval Dies
Clearly Besotted Stamps - Geometric Style II Die Collection
Simon Says Stamp - Holiday Shapes Die
Simon Says Stamp - You Clear Stamp Set
AC Amy Tangerine - Stitched 6x6 Paper Pad
Wink of Stella - Clear Pen
Red satin ribbon, heart button and twine from Stash

I coloured the little darling with my copics and added Wink of Stella to her wings, though it's hard to make out in the photos.

I would like to enter this card into the Crafting By Designs - January Anything Goes challenge and Word Art Wednesday #167 Anything Goes.

Thanks for looking, hope you have a great day,

Hugs Ax

Under the Weather

Hi everyone,

I hope your week is going well.  I'm super excited to be a guest designer for Crafting By Designs Challenge Blog. The theme for this week's challenge is Under the Weather/Get Well.... and here is my card :)

Supplies:
From the Heart Stamps - Rainy Day
AC Cardstock - Oceano
DCWV - Sky's the Limit Stack
Papermania - Plain Blue Vellums Pack
MFT Stencils - Raindrops
MFT Die-namics - Pierced Squares Stax
Memory Box Dies - Puffy Clouds
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Blue Jeans
Glossy Accents

I absolutely love this birdbrains image from From the Heart Stamps. It is called Rainy Day and it comes with five sentiments! When I saw it I just had to buy it!   I coloured the image with my copics and added some glossy accents to the raindrops and puddle.

For the background I used my new MFT stencil to emboss my cardstock.  I just love the subtle effect this gives. If you any of my recent makes you will see I've a thing for stencils at the moment, I love how versatile they are!  The clouds are die-cut from vellum and I added a few doodlebug sprinkles as extra raindrops.  The awesome raindrop paper is from DCWV Sky's the Limit Stack.

On Cloud 9

Hi crafting friends,

It's one day closer to the weekend - yipee!  It's also the start of a new monthly challenge over at Whimsie Doodles and the theme this month is 'Love is in the air'.  Obviously I just had to make a valentine's card!!  For my DT card today I used Cloud 9. This cute little guy is the face of WD Angel Policy information, but he is always hiding in the bottom corner of the blog.  He was crying out to me for some attention so today he has centre stage!

 Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Cloud 9
AC Cardstock- Weave
 Papermania Plain Blue Vellums
Plain Vellum - from stash
Memory Box - Puffy Clouds Dies
Simon Says Stamp - Falling Hearts Stencil
Simon Says Stamp -Talk Bubbles 2 Dies
Simon Says Stamp - Holiday Shapes Die
Clearly Besotted Stamps - A Little Sentimental
Wendy Vecchi - Embossing Paste
Glue Dots - Invisi Dots for Vellum
Wink of Stella - Clear Pen
Glossy Accents

I love the falling hearts stencil by Simon Says so I just had to use it as my background.  This time I embossed onto light blue vellum and then mounted onto AC cardstock.  The clouds were cut from plain vellum and white card using memory box puffy clouds dies. The speech bubble is a die from Simon says stamp. The sentiments are from a very versatile set from Clearly Besotted Stamps - soo many useful everyday sentiments, I love it.

Here is a close up.

Let's Celebrate!

 Hi crafting friends,

I hope you all had a great weekend and managed to get some crafting done. Today is my DT day over at Whimsie Doodles and for my card I chose the very cute Balloon Lizzie.

I coloured this cutie with my copics and fuzzy cut her out.  As usual I coloured her first without picking my paper and then couldn't find the right papers in my very large stash so I decided to create my own background.  How is it that with my masses of paper both 'real' and digital I can never find what I want?!  For the background I used MFT starry night stencil and my copics.  I realised half way through that I had not used the correct cardstock so my copics bled some - whoops!  Oh well, I like to call it the handmade touch!!

 Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Balloon Lizzie
MFT Stamps - Birthday Greetings
 Mama Elephant - Sentimental Borders
MFT Stencils - Starry Night
Kaisercraft 3x4 Journal Card - Sprinkles
Simon Says Stamp - Hot Lips Ink
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Ladybug

Here is a close up of her:

Wishing Ewe a Happy 2015

Hi everyone,

Today I would like to share a New Year's Card with you!  This is a first for me having never made one before...or ever received one, come to think about it!!  However, when I saw this fun digital stamp in the Whimsie Doodles shop I just had to use it for one of my DT cards this month.  The sentiment comes with the image....just perfect!!

Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamps - New Year's Lush
Cuttlebug Star Embossing Folder
Simon Says Stamp Dies - Holiday Shapes
Echo Park - This and That Christmas 6x6 pad
Red and Green Card Stock

This was a very quick and easy make and I got to use up some leftover Christmas paper, card  and die-cuts!  What else could a girl ask for!

I would like to link this card up with:

That's it from me today, short and sweet.
Hope to see you again soon,

Beary Cute

Hi Crafting Friends and Happy New Year :)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has fully recovered from their New Year celebrations.  I only had a few days off during the holiday period and thoroughly enjoyed them however I feel I now need a holiday after mad chaos that was December!  I'm not sure where the month went, I certainly didn't get much crafting done!  Hopefully now that things are quietening down (please?!) I will get a little more time to craft :)

Today I am showcasing one of the super cute new releases at Whimsie Doodles.
This wee fellow is called Heart Strings Bear and well...he is so adorable. I coloured him with my copics and fuzzy cut him out.

 Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Heart Strings Bear
Simon Says Stamp -  Falling Hearts Stencil
Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste
Simon Says Stamp Dies - Large Holiday Stamps
Simon Says Stamp Die - Small Love You
Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock
Becky Higgins Project Life - Super Cute Cards
Glossy Accents
Wink of Stella Clear Pen
Twine from Stash

I created the background using embossing paste - I love this stuff!!  The frame I cut out from 3x4 Journaling cards from a Project Life pack I bought on sale. I love the colours in this pack and am sure I will be using them again and again....to make cards!!  I coloured the die cut heart with copic R81 to match my image and then added some glossy accents.  I also coloured the die cut sentiment using R0000.

Here is a close up of the cutie:
