Easter Bunny

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a great week.  I have another Easter card to share with you today :)  A few weeks ago I received my order of goodies from Create a Smile.  One of the stamp sets I purchased was Eggstraordinary Egghunt and I finally got the chance to play with it the other night and just had to make a card with this cute bunny! Create a Smile are running a challenge at the moment - CASe a DT and I needed no excuse to play along.  One of my favourite cards from the pre-release of this set was made my Anika - you can view it here.  I loved the layout/scene so decided to CASe this card.

My card is very, very similar - cause I loved Anika's so much!! I coloured in the bunny and the eggs in with copics. The eggs are actually from another Create a Smile set called Friends in the Woods.  The background  was created with some die-cut puffy clouds and grass.  I then layered up the bunny and the eggs with foam pads, before creating the final layer with the frame.

 Supplies:
Create a Smile Stamps - Eggstraordinary Egghunt
Create a Smile Stamps - Friends in the Woods
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Large Circle Dies
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Large Scallop Circle Dies
MFT Die-namics - Grassy Edges
Memory Box - Puffy Clouds
Lawn Fawn - Into the Woods Paper
Glossy Accents

Chocolate Bunnies

Hi Crafting Friends,

It is my day over at Whimsie Doodles Blog and I have another Easter card to share with you. This sweet image is called Love Chocolate Bunnies and is a FREEBIE, so remember to pop over to the shop and grab yours :)  I really enjoyed making this card, it was nice working with some girly colours and having the time to hand-stitch some borders!

 Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Love Chocolate Bunnies
Neenah Cardstock - Desert Storm
Background Papers - Old Freebies with Magazine
MFT Die-namics Photo Corners
Simon Says Stamp - Fossil Ink
DMC thread Ecru
Adhesive Pearls - Blue and Cream from local craft shop
Burlap and Buttons from Stash

I coloured the image in with my trusty copics and mounted her on some cardstock and hand-stitched the border with some embroidery thread.  The background papers were free with a craft magazine from ages ago and I thought it was about time I used them! I distressed the edges lightly with some fossil ink and hand-stitched the borders and mounted them onto the card base. To save time and thread I only stitched the edges on the pink background paper that are visible - this is my tip for Top Tip Tuesday.  I added some burlap and some cute easter buttons I have had in my stash for ages. I think the bunny and egg buttons were from doodlebug but I don't think you can get them any more - they are very old!!

Hello Spring

Hi Crafty Friends,

It is Monthly Challenge time over at Whimsie Doodles and the theme this month is 'Spring in your Step'.  For my DT card I just had to go with one of the many cute bunnies that are available in the shop.  This cutie is called Carting Carrots and I coloured him with my copics.  The background sky and the light colour on the embossing base were also created with my trusty copics.  The fabulous chipboard word is from Create a Smile.  It was actually inside a speech bubble but I could not fit it onto my card so I cut the word out.

Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamps - Carting Carrots
Neenah - Desert Storm Cardstock
Flower Embossing Folder
MFT Die-namics Blueprints 12
MFT Die-namics - Peirced Circle Stax

You've been Egged!

Hi Peeps,

Can you believe that we are nearly half way through March, how fast is this year going by?  With Easter just round the corner I thought it was about time I started on my Easter cards and decided to make one for my DT day over at Whimsie Doodles.  The WD shop has an amazing collection of cute Easter/Spring digital stamps.  For my card today I used the EGG_scape image.  I just love this chicken and the fact he is carrying a very large Easter egg AND that he is a FREEBIE - yipee!!    I only used part of the image for my card which I coloured in with copics and cut in out.  I added some doodlebug sprinkles to the Easter egg and some glossy accents. The fab sentiment is part of the Egged Collection also available in store.

My inspiration for this layout and the card came from Annikarten, I love her style.  I created the yellow dotted frame on a separate piece of card using Spellbinders large circles and large scalloped circles and stuck a strip of die-cut grass to the inside of the the frame.   I also added a strip of die-cut grass to the card base and some die-cut clouds.  I mounted the cute chicken onto the base with small foam dots and then mounted the frame onto the base with foam tape.

Supplies
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - EGG_scape
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Egged Collection
WPlus( Designer Dies - Sunshine Layers (Cloud)
MFT Die-namics - Grassy Edges
Spellbinders Classic Circles Large
Spellbinders Scalloped Circles Large
Pink Petticoat Digital Paper - Little Polka Dots Dainty Daffodil
Lawn Fawn Into the Woods 6x6 pad
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Bumblebee
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Ladybug
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Limeade
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Swimming Pool
Glossy Accents

Sunshine and Showers

Hi Crafting Friends,

I hope everyone is having a good week.  I'm so glad it is Friday tomorrow, it's been a long week at work and I'm looking forward to a wee trip away this weekend!  Anyway, it's the 5th of March today which means its new release day over at Whimsie Doodles. For my card I used Rainy Day Abby - I love her, she has the cutest rain jacket and boots! The awesome sentiment also comes with the image.

She may be called Rainy Day Abby but I couldn't  resist putting her with some cheerful sunny papers- she has after all got her umbrella down!!  I coloured her in with my copics but had a little disaster with her hair!  Colouring in and watching TV at the same time does not work - especially when you inadvertently pick up the wrong colour and before you realise the pen is already on the paper!!! So please look past the bad hair - though I suppose she has been out in the rain so is allowed to have bad hair!!

Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamp - Rainy Day Abby
MFT Die-namics - Blueprints 10
Harper Finch - Sunshine Digital Papers
Ribbon - From stash

That's it from me today, remember to pop over to Whimsie Doodles blog to see the rest of the beautiful makes by the girls.

Enjoy the rest of the week, hope to see you again soon.

There is Gnome like you!

Hi friends,

It's my day over at Whimsie Doodles and I have a cute little mini card to share with you.   I was inspired to make a mini card by Casology challenge blog where the theme this week is... you guessed it..... mini.  I thought it was about time to add some wee note cards to my stash and I thought what better to go on a wee card than a wee gnome!! Gnome Wonder, which I used on my card today, is just one of an extremely cute collection of Gnome images available in the Whimsie Doodles Store.  I just love them!

Supplies:
Whimsie Doodle Digital Stamp - Gnome Wonder
Hero Arts Clear Design - Thinking of you messages
Spellbinders Dies-  Classic Circles Large
MFT Die-namics - Stitched Circle Stax
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Swimming Pool
Black Card
Generic Red Spotted Paper

This card was super easy to put together.  I coloured Mr Gnome with my copics and then cut him out.  I die-cut various sizes of circles in Black, Red Spotted and White Card and layered them together.  Mr Gnome and the white circle are both attached with foam dots giving the card some more dimension. The sentiment actually has a bracket around it, but it didn't fit with my style of card so I it out and stuck the sentiment onto the white card! I added a doodlebug sprinkle...well...just because I love them!!
