I love Snowmen!

 Hey everyone,

Guess what...I've got another Christmas card to share with you.  I made this one a few days ago but I just haven't had the time to post it until now!  I love this stamp from LOTV..... actually I love all of their stamps and own ALOT of them. This one is an oldie but a goodie and is called Mr Snowman.

I paired up Mr Snowman with some old Echo Park This and That Christmas papers. The sentiment is also from LOTV and one of many everyday stamps in the Greeting Postmarks collection.

LOTV - Mr Snowman Stamp
LOTV - Greeting Postmarks
Echo Park This and That Christmas 6x6 pad
Ranger Diamond Stickles
Star buttons from Stash

The small snowflake in the centre of the sentiment is highlighted with Wink of Stella Clear Pen, but you can not really pick this up from the photo.

Pretty Petals

Happy Saturday,

I hope everyone is having a great day. I would like to share with you the card I made for  The Card Concept Challenge.

Let me tell you it certainly was a challenge for me!! I haven't really done many cards with flowers as my past card making was restricted to Christmas cards and family birthday cards as that was all I ever really made time for!  Also I did not own a sunflower stamp/image.

After a little searching I found a beautiful sunflower digital stamp called Pretty Petals available from Whimsy Stamps and set about colouring it in with my copics.  It was actually a nice change to get away from colouring christmas images. For my country feel I went with gingham paper, burlap ribbon and kraft card.  I started the card with a certain layout and rough design in mind and..well..I ended up doing something completely different - does that happen to anyone else?  My card fits best into the freestyle collage category.

Here is my card:

Whimsy Stamps - StampArt Design Pretty Petals Digital Stamp
Hero Arts Clear Design Stamps Thinking of You Messages
Lil Inker Designs - Stitched Rectangles
MFT Die-namics -  Blueprints 14
We R Memory Keepers Coroner Punch
Pink Petticoat - Goldenrod gingham digital paper
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Bon Bon assortment
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Bumblebee assortment
Burlap Ribbon, Mini Peg - from stash

Here is a close up of the sunflower.

Happy Sunday, I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Today I have yet another Christmas card to share....apologies but there is going to be alot of them over the next month or so.  This card was based on the great sketch by Jen T over at Freshly Made Sketches   I love their sketches and have enjoyed playing with them over the last month or so.

For this card I decided to use some die-cuts instead of my usual stamped images.

Lifestyle crafts - Polka Dot Embossing Folder
Paper -  MME 12 Days of Christmas
MFT Die-namics - Small Scalloped Border
MFT Die-namics - Let it Snowflake
Buttons and thread - from stash
Sentiment - See D's Christmas Messges

I decided to move away from traditional christmas colours and used these bright papers from MME.  I attached the snowflakes with foam dots and the buttons with glossy accents. I also covered the snowflakes with clear Wink of Stella pen, which is hard to pick up from the photo.  I noticed after the card was finished that the sentiment is slightly squint - whoops!!!  That is what happens when card-making and watching TV at the same time!  Oh well, it is just going to have to stay that way!  The sentiment is also stamped with an extremely old stamp set!!  I bought my first lot of christmas card supplies way back in 2007 when I slightly flirted with card making. I never seemed to have the time to do it though, my job was stressful and then I decided to take off and travel the world, so my supplies sat in a box in storage for years!  Last year when I make a trip back home to the UK I brought back alot of supplies - I am so glad I held onto everything!

Nuts about you!

Good morning everyone,

So I'm jumping seasons again and going back to an Autumn card today! I used a digi stamp from Whimsie Doodles called I'm Nuts About You. I love their images.

Whimsie Doodles - I'm Nuts About You - Digital Stamp with Sentiment
Carta Bella - A Perfect Autumn Paper
Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock
Die-namics - Sentiment Strips
 Die-namics - Pierced Squares Stax
Orange Button and String from stash

I love these warm Autumnal colours.  If only the trees in Sydney looked like these in Autumn...sigh! This image was great fun to colour but took me absolutely ages!!....I'm still a learner with my copics. My inspiration for the colouring comes from Laura aka The Crafty Sister. Her colouring is absolutely amazing.

Here is a close up of the little fellows :)

It's Snowing....

I hope everyone is having a great Monday.  So I have another Christmas card to share with you today!!  I was browsing through my digital stamps and came across this snowman from All Dressed Up called 'It's Snowing'. He was crying out to be coloured!
I decided to go Monochromatic so I could enter A Random Fan's challenge. Being a winter image and that it is my favourite colour I had to go with Blue!  I really, really wanted to colour the little Robin brown but to go with the theme he had to be blue - I  actually think he looks really cute.

Here's my card.

LOTV - Frosty Christmas Paper Pad
AC Cardstock Ocean
All Dressed Up - It's Snowing Digital Stamp
Marianne Design - Snowflake Die
Marianne Design - Icicle Die
Doodlebug Sprinkles - Liliy White
The Ribbon Girl - Cheesecloth
Liquid Pearls - White Opal
Stickles - Diamond
Gems, pearls and snowman embellishment from stash

Here is a close up of the Snowman.

The last few cards I have made have been clean and simple so I thought it was time to make a card with a few more embellishments. I added cheesecloth, snowflake sequins, a brad, a gem, some pearls, enamel dots, liquid pearls, glitter and a snowman word embellishment....that's a lot for me!

Happy Sunday afternoon,

It's Christmas card time again, my favourite type of card :) Unfortunately though I still have not made anywhere near enough for this Christmas.  For the card I'm sharing with you today I used the fabulous sketch by Amy at Freshly Made Sketches.

Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder
Echo Park Wintertime Paper
Digistamp Boutique -  Cute Robin Chicklets
MFT Die namics  - Accent it - Celebrate
Simon Says Stamp Christmas 3x4 Stamp set
American Crafts Wow extra fine glitter Pomegranate

I got my Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder out again - I love it.  I added some paper from Echo Park Wintertime paper pad and made a border using Celebrate Die Set from MFT and double-sided adhesive tape with some red glitter.
For the image I used Cute Robin digital stamp available from Digistamp Boutique.   It is on offer at the moment :)
I do love the fact that you are resize digi stamps to suit your card.  I coloured this little fellow with my copics. I also added some glitter to his hat with Wink of Stella clear brush though it is hard to pick out from the photo.

Incy Wincy Spider

Good evening,

Hope everyone has had a great day. I'm loving having Monday off this week, extra time to craft :)  I wish we had more public holidays.

Today I made my first ever Halloween card. It's not really a big thing over here in Australia and I don't own any crafty Halloween supplies.  However, I was browsing digital paper sites (I'm addicted to digital paper) and came across a Halloween paper kit for only $1 from KHDigi - absolute bargain, so obviously I had to buy it!!

The Card Concept have a colour challenge at the moment with Black, Orange and White - perfectly matching the colours my new Halloween paper pack.

I wanted to play along with Case This Sketch this week too so based my card layout on their fab design.  Check out their website for all the amazing inspiration.

Here is the card :)

My card probably fits best with the clean and layered card style.  I used 5 designer papers,  and a digital stamp for the incy wincy spider which I coloured with copics and then added glossy accents.  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted - Sweet Little Sentiments. The dots are Doodlebug Sprinkles in Beetle Black and Tangerine.

Spring Pup

Hi peeps,

I decided to play along again this week with Freshly Made Sketches. I always spend ages agonising over the layout of my cards so it's great to have a sketch to follow. This time I decided to make a fresh spring card to fit with the season here in Sydney.

This wee puppy has been coloured in for months so I thought it was about time to make a card with him.  He is one of four cute images from the 'Naughty Puppies' collection which is available from Wee Stamps

Wee Stamps - Naughty Puppies digital stamp
Neenah Paper - Desert Storm
Pink Petticoat Paper -  Lots of Really Big Dots - Silver
                                Honeycomb - Sweet Apricot
                                Solid colour -  Ocean Breeze
Doodlebug - Swimming Pool Sprinkles

Here is a close up of him.  I added some glossy accents to the paw prints but you cannot really make this out from the photo.

Thanks for looking, I'm off to bed now as its super late.  Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with another card :) Please feel free to leave a comment and then I can come and visit you too.
