Rainbow Starbursts

Hi Crafty Friends,

I hope everyone is well and managed to squeeze in some crafty time at the weekend.  I finally managed to take some pictures of some cards I made a week ago.  I was really inspired by the May Challenge over at Pinkfresh Studio where the theme is Rainbow - so much fun!  I have so many, as yet unused Pinkfresh goodies.  There just isn't enough crafty time in the week!  I did however, manage to make three cards for this challenge, which is a record for me! I thought the Starburst Circles stamp set and stencil was perfect for this challenge and I was very excited about playing with it.  I used ALOT of inks on my card panel, they were all pinkfresh and are all listed below.  For each circle I used three colours with the stencil. Stenciling this was so relaxing.  Once inked, I used the stamp set, versamark and some gold embossing powder to add some sparkle to my circles. I did not do a good job with this. Usually I would just re-stamp and apply another layer, but my card panel had slightly wrapped and I just couldn't get it to line up properly.

For my sentiment I decided to try out the fancy words hot foil plate and dies.  It has been a while since I have done any hot foiling and previously I was getting awesome results. This time however it was not working so well for me. I will have to play around with my cardstock and sandwich and see if I can get better results.  It took maybe five tries before I got one that was usable and I was generally happy with. I die cut three sentiments from white cardstock and layered them behind the foiled sentiment for some dimension.

I adhered my card panel onto some grey cardstock and then foam mounted it onto a card base.  I could not resist adding a variety of Pinkfresh glitter drops in all the colours to finish the card off.

I would also like to enter this rainbow card into the Seize the Birthday Challenge where the theme is Make it Pop.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me.  Have a great day and I hope to see you again soon.
Hugs Ax
