Hello friends,
I managed to get another card done for the Fall Winter Coffee Lover Blog Hop -yay, with just a couple of hours to spare before the linky closes. However I will need to come back in a few hours to complete this post with all the details and maybe some better photos, as here in Australia it is dinner time - and I have the feed the kids and get them sorted for bed!!
.....I'm back, nearly 24 hours later!! This card came together fairly fast thankfully. I normally mull over an idea or card design for ages before I even get the supplies out, but with this one, I knew I only had a few hours before the linky closed so I just went for it. I am really happy with how in turned out.
I started by die-cutting the postage stamp collage from white cardstock, I then used the coordinating collage block stencil to add a little vintage photo distress oxide to the stamps. While the stencil was still in pace, I stamped with Fa la la background stamp from Hero Arts with Concord and 9th wheat ink. I then cut the postage stamps apart using scissors.
I used the mini mugs from MFT stamps once again and die-cut them from white cardstock. I ink blended them with inks from Concord and 9th. I also die-cut elements from the Christmas garnish die set from MFT. Unfortunately this die is no longer available and was an add-on for MFT barware die-namics. I coloured in the elements with my copics. The colours are listed below. I adhered the christmas elements to the mugs with liquid glue and foam mounted the mugs on the postage stamps.
For my card panel I embossed a A2 panel with In the Pines embossing folder from Spellbinders, i trimmed it slightly and added it to an A2 panel of desert storm cardstock. I choose my arrangement and then foam mounted the stamps onto my card front. The sentiment was stamped in brown ink, die-cut and then adhered onto the postage stamp.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are loving all the inspiration in the blog hop. I certainly am. Have a great day.
Hugs, Andrea
